Sharon Cooney grew up in Southwest Virginia.  She developed a love for music at an early age while she studied piano and flute, performed in various bands and choirs, and accompanied for churches. In 2001, she moved to Winston-Salem, NC to attend Piedmont International University, studying both English Education and Piano Performance.  While there she sang with and accompanied multiple musical teams travelling around the country and Great Britain.  After graduating from both PIU and High Point University, Sharon accepted a position teaching English at West Davidson High School in Lexington, NC. In 2012, she left WDHS to stay home with her now 1-year-old son, Chandler.  Throughout her career, Sharon has continued to utilize her piano skills by playing for her church and accompanying area choirs.  Sharon and her husband Greg currently reside in Winston-Salem, NC where they enjoy travelling and serving in ministry together.
